Supporting Local Artists
Many local artists in Lushoto face challenges in accessing markets and promoting their work. Through our initiatives, we provide them with a platform to showcase their creativity, connect with potential buyers, and enhance their skills. We encourage innovation and artistic growth, ensuring that their talents receive the recognition they deserve.
We also collaborate with traditional handicraft producers, such as the women’s pottery group in Malomboi, helping them add value to their crafts while preserving traditional skills. The sale of pottery, woven baskets, and other handmade products provides extra income and sustains their craftsmanship.
At TUPANDE, we foster collaboration between artists and handicraft producers, creating opportunities for market expansion and skill development. Our goal is to highlight the incredible skills and talents of the local community while promoting and preserving traditional arts.
This page will soon feature profiles of artists we work with, showcasing their backgrounds, creative works, and artistic journeys.
